Willow Grove Homecoming 2021

April 27, 2021 - Our annual Willow Grove Homecoming is set for May 1, 2021. The past 2020 brought much heartaches, but we know the God on the mountain is the God in the valley. Our hope remains in Him.

We thank Willow Grove Church for allowing us to use their fellowship hall. We also thank Aaron Gilchrist for maintaining the cemetery.

We will set up at the cemetery gate at 8am to accept donations. We will bring out annual meeting at 11am in the church’s fellowship hall. After the meeting we will have lunch.

Willow Grove Homecoming Cancellation; Donations Accepted

April 28, 2020 - As we know every day is a blessing from God. He is with us on the mountaintops and the valleys. Today, because of the Coronavirus pandemic, we are all under great stress and grief.

Everyone is affected in so many ways. At this time, it has been decided to cancel our Willow Grove Homecoming Day, May 2, 2020.

Because we will not be meeting on this day to honor our loved ones, we ask you to send in your donations early to Willow Grove Cemetery, P.O. Box 71 Joaquin, Tx. 75974. Phone: 936-269-3236.

Willow Grove Cemetery Homecoming

April 29, 2019 - Spring is here and the birds are singing and busy building their nests. The dogwoods and redbuds are in full bloom. After such a rainy winter and early spring, the chickens are excited for a dry summer so they won't be walking on a wet ground. Trees are budding out to a million shades of green. This, in all of God's glory, reminds us too of the ones we love.

Willow Grove Homecoming 2018

April 9, 2018 - Saturday, May 5, 2018 is set for the Willow Grove Homecoming. Come fellowship, spruce up the cemetery, enjoy a covered dish luncheon and attend the business meeting.

We thank Willow Grove Church for allowing us to use their Fellowship Hall. Also, we thank Mr. Lennis Holt for another year of keeping up the "back forty."

The cemetery layout is currently being updated. Please come as we honor those we love who have "walked on ahead of us."

Families Enjoy Willow Grove Cemetery Homecoming

May 12, 2017 - Willow Grove Cemetery held their Annual Homecoming gathering on Saturday, May 6, 2017. Everyone enjoyed a stroll through the cemetery and a pot luck dinner in the Willow Grove Fellowship Hall. A new addition to the cemetery was the six-foot directory which allows everyone to locate their family gravesite by name and grid.

If you were unable to attend and would still like to contribute please make checks payable to: Willow Grove Cemetery Fund and send to Willie Edwards, P.O. Box 71, Joaquin, Texas 75954.
