Pete Low Announces Candidacy for Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1

February 21, 2022 - My name is Pete Low, and I am a candidate for Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1. I have been in public service for half of my life—first, as a police officer for the city of Center, and for the last 26 years, as a police officer for Center Independent School District. As a law enforcement officer, I have worked each case based on evidence, witness testimony, and the unique circumstances involved. I have enforced the laws of Texas as fairly and equitably as possible. I bring with me an extensive knowledge of the law and a well-rounded perspective of public service that I feel make me a uniquely qualified candidate for the role of Justice of the Peace.

I am a firm believer in both responsibility and compassion. The role of Justice of the Peace is to serve all people with fairness and respect. I believe my years of public service would guide me well should I be elected to serve the public interest of the citizens of Shelby County. I have enjoyed working with the youth of our community, but I believe I could best serve our community as the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 1. Thank you.
