June 23, 2023 - (Photo Album) - Following the aftermath of the fire which occurred at Portacool on Friday, June 17, 2023, representatives have been reaching out to members of their workforce and potentially displaced employees to offer assistance.
A private job fair has was offered to those workers, and was hosted at the John D. Windham Civic Center on Friday, June 23.
Many businesses have offered their assistance, and several had booths set up so they could meet with interested individuals.
“Even in the time of crisis and amidst all this adversity we’re still trying to take care of our team members, those that are on the layoff schedule and those that are still with us,” said Ben Wulf, CEO of Portacool. “That’s part of the Portacool culture is we put our team first, and I hope everybody in the community and hope all our team understands that, and recognizes that and we’re going to continue and abide by those cultural pillars. That’s how we built the company, and that’s how we plan to rebuild the company.”
