Portacool Representatives, City of Center Celebrate Portacool Park Groundbreaking

July 20, 2016 - Center City Council, Portacool and members of the community attended a ceremonial ground breaking on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 to kick-off construction for the new Portacool Park project.

The groundbreaking was held at the Center Mini Park at the intersection of Childs Street, Fair Street, and Malone Drive behind City Hall. City of Center Mayor David Chadwick expressed words of appreciation to Portacool for their continued investment into the community.

The expansion of the park, the new Portacool Park, will include a quarter-mile walking trail, new restroom facilities, large covered pavilion, basketball court, a multi-purpose soccer field, as well as additional parking area.
