April 12, 2024 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners’ Court will be held on the 17th day of April, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:
1. Approve and pay weekly expenses.
2. Public comments on Agenda item.
3. Open quotes for Janitorial Services.
4. Discuss and take action on SB22 Rural Sheriff’s Office Assistance Grant.
5. Discuss and possibly ratify the Declaration of Disaster for the flooding of the Sabine River.
6. Discuss and approve the furniture to be constructed by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for the Commissioners’ Courtroom on the 2nd Floor of the County Courthouse in the amount of $10,085.00.
7. Jay Firsching from HRTC to give the final report on the Master Plan for the Historic Courthouse.
8. Rayford Copelin and Teddy Hopkins to address with the court about the Grant for the Texas Historical Commission.
9. Discuss and possibly approve the Application for the Texas Historical Commission Courthouse Grant.
