August 31, 2020 - State Highway 87 North at CR 1034 was the scene of a single-vehicle crash Monday, August 31, 2020.
According to Texas Department of Public Safety State Trooper Keith Jones, at around 3:25pm a white 2019 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Malana Naquin, 26, of Timpson was northbound on State Highway 87.
The Chevrolet was traveling at an unsafe speed when it hydroplaned, traveling off the roadway to the left and struck a tree head-on.
Naquin was transported from the scene by ambulance to Nacogdoches Medical Center - Shelby Emergency Department for medical evaluation.
Center Fire Department personnel also responded to the scene to provide support.
