August 30, 2023 - During the current burn ban, Shelby County Commissioners are allowing the use of their dumpsters for household trash. This is only during the burn ban and is not in any way meant to replace regular household trash service.
Prohibited items aren’t allowed, such as, tires, paint, batteries, etc.
Residents can only utilize the dumpster of the precinct where they live. Each commissioner yard may not have the same hours. Review the following information to determine when you can access the dumpster in your area:
Precinct 1 Road and Bridge yard
Open Monday - Friday, 7am - 2pm
Precinct 2 Road and Bridge yard
Open Monday - Friday 6:30am - 2pm
Precinct 3 Road and Bridge yard
Open Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 2:30pm
Precinct 4 Road and Bridge yard
Open Monday - Friday, 6:30am - 3pm
This schedule will cease once the burn ban has been lifted.
