May 17, 2024 - The Tenaha Volunteer Fire Department was on Sugar Hill Road Tuesday, May 14, 2024 to monitor a controlled burn where property owner was clearing a house from their land.
A house on the property was burned, and the fire department was on scene to help prevent the fire from spreading.
Another house on the property was located very near to the structure being burned, and the fire personnel kept the flames contained to the intended building.
The homeowner stated she was just happy the fire department was able to be there.
