Timpson Frontier Days Pony Express Rides Again; Milford Delivers Invite

June 26, 2023 - Timpson Frontier Days is fast approaching and the word is spreading at a quick pace as Kale Milford is making the rounds on his trusty mount, "Roany," as they are inviting neighboring communities to this annual event.

The Frontier Days Pony Express first ran in 1962 and C.W. Milford, who was Kale Milford’s grandfather and constable for Precinct 5 for around 40 years, participated in that first Pony Express run and subsequent rides thereafter.

In honor of C.W. Milford’s tenure as constable and his participation in the Pony Express, Josh Tipton who is the current Precinct 5 Constable is also traveling with the Pony Express.

The Pony Express traveled to Mt. Enterprise, Garrison, and finally Center on Monday, June 26, 2023, and along with the invitation of Milford to those cities, Paul Smith with the Timpson Area Chamber of Commerce extended a greeting and welcome to those cities to join in at Timpson Frontier Days.


Kale Milford, astride "Roany," extends a greeting and invitation to Deborah Chadwick, who was representing the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce and City of Center.

This Thursday, June 29, Frontier Days will begin with the carnival at 5pm; and party in the streets at 6pm under the big tent with DJ Berio.
