May 14, 2020 - (Album1, Album2, Album3) - Timpson High School held a drive-in graduation Thursday, May 14, 2020, at the front of the Timpson ISD Collegiate and Event Center.
Superintendent Dr. Mid Johnson led the event while staff greeted seniors and assisted them in getting prepared for their walk to the entrance of the building where they received their diploma. School employees and Timpson Volunteer Fire Department personnel assisted at the entrance to the parking lot in directing graduates to their destination.
Dr. Johnson gave an introduction of each student as they crossed in front of the building. Family members were not able to exit their vehicles, in recognition of social distancing efforts; however, they were allowed to pull their vehicle along the reception area.
Ashlynn Lindgren, Valedictorian; and Sadie Ramsey, Salutatorian, each provided speeches after everyone had received their diplomas.
