February 3, 2016 - Over fifty Center Elementary third graders and Center Garden Club members Cherry Jones, Alison Scull, Janette Wittmann, and Carolyn Bounds and two guests, Benita Collard and Jennifer Britt, enjoyed making pinecone bird feeders together on January 19.
January 27, 2016 - As part of a special project Center Garden Club members recently shared plants with two institutions which provide essential services to the community.
In December, Jackie Hancock and Judy Mathews delivered poinsettias to nursing home residents and later that month Ann Hitt, Carolyn Bounds, and Cherry Jones delivered a Christmas Norfolk pine to the Center Post Office to welcome the new postmaster Steven Standley and express season's greetings to both Center postal employees and their patrons.
January 26, 2016 - Members of the Center Garden Club met recently to discuss plans for the 50th Annual Small Standard Flower Show and Plant Sale scheduled for Friday, April 22, 2016. This year's theme is Nature's Abundance. The Flower Show will be held at the Community House from 12-noon until 4pm. Public is invited and admission is free to the Flower Show.
Center Garden Club members will feature Floral Designs, Horticultural Entries, and Educational Displays. The 3rd grade Jr. Garden Club and High School students will also have Floral Designs.
