February 17, 2021 - With temperatures below freezing in Huxley, water conservation is essential to maintaining sufficient water pressure in the system. Damage from frozen and burst pipes in the system can cause a drop in water pressure along with an overuse of water by customers. If water pressure drops below a certain threshold, customers will need to boil water before use.

April 16, 2020 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Huxley public water system, PWS 210019, to issue a Boil Water Notice for CR 2690 in Stillwaters, CR 2693 in Royal Ridge, English Bay area along CR 2700, CR 2783, CR 2793, and Corn & Blisters to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.

October 14, 2019 - The City of Huxley is conducting a free chlorine burnout of its water distribution system. The burnout began on Monday, September 23rd, 2019. This event will last a maximum of 30 days.

March 7, 2016 - Until further notice, the City of Huxley has issued a Boil Water Notice for English Bay Marina area due to loss of pressure.

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and making ice should be boiled and cooled prior to comsumption. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes. In lieu of boiling, you may purchase bottled water or obtain water from some other suitable source.
