February 29, 2016 - Heather Caughman Hudman, a Center HS Graduate of 1994, perished in a head-on collision in Bossier City, Louisiana on Saturday, February 27, 2016.
Funeral services are under the direction of Watson and Sons Funeral Home and will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2pm.

February 26, 2016 - The Center Rotary Club President Anna Lee presented a $250 donation for the Community Garden to AgriLife Extension Agents Jheri-Lynn McSwain and Lane Dunn during their Tuesday meeting at the John D. Windham Civic Center.
February 25, 2016 - Morgan Ray has advanced to the state finals in traditional animation to be held in Austin, Texas in March.
Ray is a junior at Center HS and a student of Center HS teacher Adan Ramirez. Her work will be viewed at The Historic Paramount Theatre in Austin, Texas as well as featured at the Nacogdoches Film Festival this coming weekend, February 25th-27th.
Ramirez says she has put all the time and effort to achieve this goal. We wish her the best at state!
February 24, 2016 - Tuesday night at 9:35pm a man traveling on FM 417 East collided with a large Oak tree which fell in front of him and he survived. High winds were blowing and had moved through the area for the majority of the day which could have been the cause of the tree falling.
February 23, 2016 - In front of a sold out crowd in Bossier City, Sunshine Haley made her debut into the world of MMA fighting and won it against her opponent with a final ruling of TKO.
Andrew Dolan, formerly of Huxley and now a coach at Whitehouse High School, was featured in an article published by Tyler Morning Telegraph. Dolan went fishing and at the end of his fishing trip had the catch of the day, a man who was in danger of drowning on Lake Tyler. February 17, 2016 - Center boys varsity basketball team fell in their second game of district competition against Henderson with a final score of 51-58. Riders had a decisive victory over the Henderson Lions at their previous match but failed to rally against the Lions in Tuesday's game, February 16th.
Points scored were Octavius Evans (23), Tyrone Roland (9), Kaleb Parks (6), Kyle Parks (6), Lamarcus Goodwin (3), DaCorey McGee (2), and Jaterious Evans (2).
