May 6, 2019 - The Tenaha City Couuncil had three open seats up for election and four candidates ran on May 4, 2019.

Results of the election indicate the winners were Lee Gibbs with 54 votes; Durand Steadman with 34 votes; and Craig Richard Gray with 32 votes.

May 5, 2019 - The intersection of George Ihlo Drive and Payne Street was the scene of a two-vehicle crash Thursday, May 2, 2019.

According to Center Police Officer Chris King, at 1pm a red 2014 Ford Fusion driven by Rani Tomlin, 22, of Center was northbound on George Ihlo Drive.
