August 11, 2024 - U.S. Highway 59 in Tenaha was the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving a log truck and a passenger vehicle Friday, August 9, 2024, at around 10:30am.

August 7, 2024 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department hosted a “School Safety Meeting” at the Shelby County Extension office Wednesday, August 7, 2024 in Center. 

Representatives were present from law enforcement, fire departments, medical staff and schools.

August 6, 2024 - A county road in precinct 3 is scheduled to be temporarily closed due to railroad work to be conducted August 8, 2024 per Stevie Smith, Commissioner Precinct 3.

Commissioner Smith states, County Road 3831 at U.S. Highway 84 will be closed Thursday morning for the railroad to repair the railroad crossing.

Work will start around 5am and will probably take five or six hours.

August 4, 2024 - Boss Lady Bakery celebrated it’s grand opening with a ribbon cutting event on Saturday, August 3, 2024.

The Timpson Area Chamber of Commerce welcomed the new business and area residents were present for the delicious event.
