February 2, 2024 - Commissioner Smith reports the roadway is repaired and open to traffic again.

February 1, 2024 - Stevie Smith, Commissioner Precinct 3, announces CR 3590 will be closed on the east end Friday, February 2, from 8am until 12-noon.

January 29, 2024 - State Highway 7 East and Loop 500 was the scene of a two-vehicle collision involving a truck-tractor and a passenger vehicle on Monday, January 22, 2024, at around 6am.

January 25, 2024 - Timpson Volunteer Fire Department (TVFD) responded to a house fire on CR 4772 outside of Timpson on Friday, January 19, 2024.

Fire personnel were dispatched to the fire at 9:22am and when they arrived the structure was fully involved.

January 21, 2024 - Center Police Department officers are investigating an apparent break-in at the Hibbett Sports located in Center at the Center Marketplace shopping center.

January 18, 2024 - The Texas Department of Public Safety has confirmed the Texas Rangers are involved in investigating the in custody death that was reported by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department on January 17, 2024. 

According to information from DPS, at the request of the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Rangers are assisting with this investigation.
