April 7, 2023 - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a commercial motor vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 59 near Timpson, that occurred Thursday, April 6, 2023. 

March 27, 2023 - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers arrested a Nacogdoches man for driving while intoxicated after an investigation into a single-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 96, near County Road 4360, that occurred Saturday, March 25, 2023.

December 21, 2022 - The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is encouraging everyone to end 2022 safely as they travel and spend time with family and friends this holiday season. The Texas Highway Patrol will conduct its annual Christmas and New Year’s holiday traffic enforcement campaign beginning Dec. 23 and will be out on the roads looking for people who are speeding, not wearing their seat belts, driving while intoxicated or committing other traffic violations.

November 25, 2022 - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a two-vehicle crash involving a Texas Department of Public Safety patrol vehicle that occurred Thursday, November 24, 2022, on State Highway 7, just west of U.S. 96.

September 20, 2022 - Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers investigated a fatal motorcycle crash on County Road 2865, approximately 15 miles south of Center, that occurred Sunday, September 18, 2022. 
 
The preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 7:45pm, a 2013 Honda dirt bike motorcycle was traveling east. It is reported that the driver lost control of the motorcycle while traveling around a left-hand curve and traveled into the ditch where it crashed.
