April 1, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Shelby Beautiful Clean Committee announces “Shred Day”, presented by Shelby Savings Bank, will have a mobile shredding unit available on the Historic Downtown Center Square on Friday, April 8 from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Community members are invited to bring documents and paper that need to be shredded. Businesses that wish to bring shred items are limited to ten file boxes of paper.  For larger quantities please contact the Chamber to make arrangements so that it may be accommodated.

March 21, 2016 - Shelby County Chamber of Commerce President, Jim Sawyer, recently announced that the 94th Annual Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Banquet, presented by Farmers State Bank, will be held on Monday, April 25 at 6:00 p.m. at the Windham Civic Center.

March 11, 2016 - The Shelby County Grill Fest Barbecue Cook-off will be Saturday, March 19 at the Windham Civic Center in Center, Texas, with cook teams from across east Texas and western Louisiana vying for over $6,700 in prize money and the Grand Champion trophy along with bragging rights. 

The barbecue cook-off is presented by Farmers State Bank and sanctioned by the Lone Star Barbecue Society. The event will feature three cooking categories including brisket, chicken and ribs.

February 26, 2016 - The Shelby County Chamber of Commerce Grill Fest sanctioned barbecue cook-off presented by Farmers State Bank promises to be a fun-filled day for all. The “Chillin & Grillin” will take place on Saturday, March 19 outdoors at the Windham Civic Center in Center, Texas.
