November 28, 2016 Lufkin, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball team went 1-1 this past weekend at the Guy Davis Thanksgiving Classic in Lufkin, Texas at Angelina College. After this weekend, Panola claims a 7-3 record. “Once again, our guys faced a tremendous amount of adversity in the two games we played.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated. “I think we are finally starting to figure some things out on both ends of the floor. March 4, 2016 - Lufkin, Texas – The Panola Men’s Basketball team defeated Jacksonville College in the quarterfinals of the Region XIV Conference Tournament here Thursday night, 82-70. The win propels the Ponies to the conference semifinals tomorrow against Lamar State Port-Author. Panola improves their overall record to 23-9. “We hit some adversity early in the game and finally started to hit on all cylinders in the middle half of the game.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated.

January 28, 2016 - Carthage, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball team defeated Tyler Junior College here Wednesday night, 74-63. With the win, the Ponies elevate their record to 17-5 and 8-3 in Region 14 play. “Again, our guys gave tremendous effort the second half of the ball game.” Head Coach Grant McMillan said. “Tyler was unbelievably long and our guys had to make some adjustments on the offensive end.” He stated.

January 14, 2016 - Athens, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball team fell to Trinity Valley Community College, 76-60 here Wednesday Night. The loss drops their record to 14-5 and 5-3 and Region 14 play. “I was proud of our effort and half-court defense all game long.” Head Coach Grant McMillan said. “We have to convert plays around the rim in such a high level ball game.” He added.
