Panola Men Outlast Lee, 78-63

January 11, 2015 Baytown, Texas – The Panola men’s basketball team went on the road to defeat Lee College, 78-63 on Saturday night. With the victory, Panola’s record is raised to 14-4 and 5-2 in Region XIV play. “We knew that coming down here to Lee was going to be an extremely hard place to play.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated. “Our guys never went away from our game plan and executed on both ends the entire 40 minute ball game.” He added.

Panola Men Defeat Jacksonville in Region XIV Play, 85-72

January 7, 2015 - Carthage, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball team defeated Jacksonville College, 85-72 here Wednesday night. With the win the Ponies improve their record to 13-4 and 4-2 in Region XIV play.

Panola Men fall to San Jac on the road, 86-71

January 4, 2015 Pasadena, TX – The Panola College men’s basketball team lost to San Jac in Pasadena, Texas Monday evening, 86-71. With the loss, Panola drops their record to 12-4 overall and 3-2 in Region XIV play. “We looked like a team that hadn’t played a game in 20 days.” Said Head Coach Grant McMillan. “The effort was there, we played hard. We just didn’t pay enough attention to some small details throughout the game.” He added.

Panola Men’s Basketball Team Defeats 25th Ranked Blinn College, 91-78

December 10, 2015 - Carthage, Texas – The Panola men’s basketball team defeated the 25th ranked Blinn College, 91-78. The victory raises their record to 12-3 and 3-1 in Region XIV play. “Our players came out and played an unbelievable second half. They made some great adjustments and were completely locked in after halftime.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated. “It was another team win. With a 17 day break between practices our guys ended the semester the right way.” He added.

Panola Men Go on the Road to Defeat Angelina, 83-66

December 7, 2015 Lufkin, Texas – The Panola College men’s basketball team defeated Angelina College here Saturday night by a score of 83-66. With the victory, Panola raises their record to 11-3 overall and 2-1 in Region XIV play. “This was an outstanding team win. Our guys battled and competed for the whole 40 minute ball game.” Explained Head Coach Grant McMillan. “It was an unbelievable group effort.” He added.

Panola Men Improve to 10-3 with Victory

December 2, 2015 - Carthage, Texas – The Panola men’s basketball team defeated Louisiana Christian here Tuesday night, 107-44. With the victory Panola improves to 10-3 on the season. “This was the first time we came close to putting together a 40 minute ball game.” Mentioned Head Coach Grant McMillian. “It was good to see our team share the ball and fly around tonight.” He added.

Panola came out hot as they took a 54-24 halftime lead. A stellar defensive second half, where the Ponies only allowed 19 points to the opposition, helped lead Panola to the 63 point victory.

Panola Goes 2-0 at Guy Davis/Coca Cola Thanksgiving Classic

November 30, 2015 Lufkin, Texas - The Panola men’s basketball won both their games over the weekend at the Guy Davis/Coca Cola Thanksgiving Classic in Lufkin, Texas over the weekend. With the victories, Panola raises their record to 9-3. “With the holiday, hitting the road, and a different routine, our guys found ways to win.” Head Coach Grant McMillan stated. “I am looking forward to this final stretch heading into our Christmas break.” He added.

November 23, 2015 - In the opening game of Region XIV play, the Panola College men’s basketball team defeated Coast Bend, 79-66. With the win the Ponies improve their record to 7-2, and 1-0 in conference play. “Conference play is so difficult because both teams have each other scouted so well.” Stated Head Coach Grant McMillan. “We executed well and got contribution from everyone on our team tonight.” He added.
