Casual Month at First United Methodist Church

July 19, 2019 - The First United Methodist Church on Porter St in Center invites you to Sunday's service, July 21, 2019 at 8:30 am. July is "casual month" and worshipers are encouraged to dress comfortably. The message will be brought by pastor Karen Jones and breakfast will follow. This Sunday, the music includes several big congregational hymns and a choral anthem featuring instrumentalists from the staff of the CHS Band.

Orsak’s “The Void” Presented Tonight by Center HS Theatre

April 15, 2019 - Sophomore Kristen Orsak's original play, The Void, will be presented for a second night by Center HS Theatre's 3rd Period Advanced Players tonight at 6:30pm. Miss Orsak tells the story of Brooke, a teenager suffering from depression and her friends and family who aren't sure how to help her. The script has been workshopped by her peers since the fall and is ready for its "international premiere."

Roughrider Broadcast Team to Carry Softball Playoff Series

April 25, 2018 - Stephen Shires and Chris Watlington of the Roughrider Broadcast Team are pleased to announce that they will carry play by play of the Lady Rider Softball Playoff Series this Thursday and Friday, April 26 and 27

The game will appear as a video feed with audio on the team's Facebook page: Roughrider Radio Broadcast Team. Thursday and Friday certain pre-game interviews will be recorded live early in the day and will be viewable from recording up until game time. 

Radio Team to Cover Regional Tennis Matches Thursday

April 18, 2018 - The Roughrider Broadcast Team will carry Center High School's Regional Tennis matches on its Facebook Live page Thursday, April 19, coverage beginning at 1:30. The program will begin with a recap of the morning first round matches and will proceed with coverage of the remaining afternoon matches. The coverage includes video interviews with coaches, players and fans.

Center HS One-Act Play Date Change

April 2, 2018 - The Center High School Theatre Department's public presentation of its one-act play "Noises Off!" has been postponed. The show will no longer run tonight (Monday April 2nd).

A sudden change in the baseball schedule makes the alteration necessary, as one of the varsity ball players is also an important part of the cast. Center vs Carthage, originally slated for Tuesday night, has been moved to Monday night in anticipation of rain.
