November 23, 2022 - You can take a trip to Bethlehem this Christmas and you don’t even have to leave Shelby County! First Baptist Center is recreating that “little town” in the green spaces beside their buildings. Waiting for you and your family are the shepherds (and their sheep), an 8-foot tall talking angel, the innkeeper, the magi, Mary and Joseph, and a man at the cross.

September 16, 2022 - Third Monday Lunch Meeting - Monday, September 19, 11:30am at First Baptist Church of Center, 117 Cora, Center, TX. Free lunch and program presented by Leigh Porterfield.

June 17, 2022 - The Golden Harvest Community Club for Seniors will host its regular third Monday lunch meeting at 11:30am, Monday, June 20 at First Baptist Center, across from the Old Courthouse. A free meal will be followed by a program on the 1721 Dolores Mission historic site in San Augustine. All seniors from our community are warmly welcome.

December 21, 2021 - First Baptist Church of Center will host a Candlelight Service on Christmas Eve at 6pm. The 45 minute event will feature bells, favorite carols, a children's storytime, and the Lord's Supper. The public is warmly invited. FBC Center is located right across from the historic courthouse. August 2, 2021 - On Sunday, August 8, at 10:15am the congregation of First Baptist Church of Center will honor area educators. On this Sunday before school starts we invite any teacher, coach, counselor, administrator, retired teachers, etc. to join us for our morning worship service which will include a time of recognition, prayer, and a special gift for each educator present.
