August 26, 2021 - Notice is hereby given that a Special meeting of the Governing body of the Shelby County Commissioners' Court will be held on the 1st day of September, 2021 at 9:30am the Courtroom of the Shelby County Courthouse at 200 San Augustine Street, Center, Shelby County, Texas to deliberate and consider action on the following items:

October 30, 2020 - Shelby County Clerk Jennifer Fountain reports early voting for the General Election ended at 4:30pm today and a total of 6,288 voters early voted!

If you missed out on early voting, you can vote Tuesday, November 3, 7am until 7pm, at your regular polling location.

October 5, 2020 (Printable sample ballot) - October 1st, the County Clerk's office mailed out almost 700 ballots that were requested to be mailed. So if you have requested a ballot to be mailed to you, be on the lookout!

August 20, 2020 - There is a lot of national coverage regarding how the USPS will not be able to handle the influx of ballots by mail this November. The state of Texas is not one of the states directly in question, and both our local and state agencies do not anticipate any issues.
