Joaquin ISD School Board Special Called Meeting Aug 10th Agenda

August 6, 2015 - Notice is hereby given that on the 10th day of August 2015, the Board of Trustees of Joaquin School District will hold a special meeting at 6pm at the Joaquin ISD Administration building Board room, Joaquin, Texas.

Joaquin ISD Schedule of Events for the Start of School

August 3, 2015 - Joaquin ISD Junior High and High School Registration Dates/Times are as follows:

Grades 6th, 7th and 8th - August 13th from 9:30 - 11:30 am
Seniors and Juniors - August 13th from 1:30 - 3:00 pm
Sophomores - August 14th from 9:00 - 11:00 am
Freshman - August 14th from 1:00 - 3:00 pm

Meet the Rams will be held on Saturday, August 15th at 5:00 pm on the football field. There will be a $2.00 entry fee with scrimmage to follow.

Joaquin ISD Announces Times for Physicals and Practice

July 31, 2015 - Joaquin ISD Athletic Department is offering physicals for all student athletes on Friday, July 31st at 10 a.m. There is not a fee for the physical, but please bring insurance cards.

Football practice will begin Monday, August 3rd. Athletes need to report at 7:45 a.m.

Joaquin ISD Annouces New Band Director

July 22, 2015 - James Carpenter has been named the new Head Band director at Joaquin ISD. His research consists primarily with Wagnerian Opera in association with Richard Wagner’s adaptation of the Nibelungenlied into his dramatic prose.

July 14, 2015 - The Joaquin ISD School Board met July 9, 2015 in special session at 6:00 p.m. in the Joaquin Boardroom with the following members present: Jay Dee Cockrell, Ronnie Belrose, Charles Leflett, Thomas Harvey, and Jimmy Hamilton. Board members absent were Chrisco Bragg and Tam Hearnsberger. Guests present were Joaquin ISD employees Phil Worsham, Superintendent and Jimmy Jackson, High School Principal.

Joaquin 8U All Stars Take Top Honors at District Tournament

June 23, 2015 - The 8U Joaquin Ram All Star Team played in the District 2 Championship game on June 22nd in Huntington, Texas defeating the Huntington Red All Star Team 16-11. The Rams went undefeated at the District Tournament coming from behind in two of the games from 7-0 and 10-3 deficits exhibiting pride, teamwork and never giving up. Way to go Rams!

The Rams will compete in the State Tournament beginning July 4th in Center, Texas. Good Luck! ALL IN!

Joaquin Lady Rams All Stars Take District Title

May 27, 2015 - The 12U Joaquin Lady Ram All Star Team competed at the District Tournament in Nacogdoches, Texas on May 23rd and 24th. Due to weather, the team played 5 games on Saturday with the last game carrying over into Sunday morning.
