1 The Joaquin ISD School Board met tonight in regular session at 6:00 p.m. in the Joaquin Boardroom with the following members present: Jay Dee Cockrell, Thomas Harvey, Charles Leflett, Chrisco Bragg(arrived at 6:01 p.m.), Ronnie Belrose, Tam Hearnsberger, and Jimmy Hamilton
May 11, 2015 - Joaquin Baseball and Softball playoff will be as follows:
Baseball:
Joaquin vs. Centerville
2A Region 3 - Area Playoff Game
One Game to be played on:
Friday, 05/15 at 6:00 pm at Central Pollok ISD
Softball:
Joaquin vs. Cushing
2A Region 3 - Regional Quarterfinal Playoff Series
1st Game - Thursday, 05/14 at 6:00 pm
2nd Game - Friday, 05/15 at 6:00 pm
3rd Game if necessary - Saturday, 05/16 at 2:00 pm
All games will be held at Tatum High School
May 27, 2015 - The 12U Joaquin Lady Ram All Star Team competed at the District Tournament in Nacogdoches, Texas on May 23rd and 24th. Due to weather, the team played 5 games on Saturday with the last game carrying over into Sunday morning.
April 9, 2015 - Joaquin ISD Golf Team competed in the District meet on Monday, April 6th at Carthage Country Club. Both teams placed 2nd in the district making them regional qualifiers. Dalayna Daw was a 1st place medalist.
April 2, 2015 - Joaquin Ram Powerlifter, Case Chambliss, a senior, competed in the Boys State Powerlifting meet - Division 3 - in Abilene, Texas on March 28th, 2015. Case posted his personal best and finished 3rd place in the state. Case's lifts totaled 1205 lbs., with his personal best squat perfomance of 475 lbs., bench 265 lbs., and deadlift 465 lbs. Congratulations to Case for an outstanding powerlifting season!
May 19, 2015 - The Joaquin ISD School Board met May 18, 2015 in regular session at 6:00 p.m. in the Joaquin Boardroom with the following members present: Jay Dee Cockrell, Thomas Harvey, Charles Leflett, Chrisco Bragg(arrived at 6:01 p.m.), Ronnie Belrose, Tam Hearnsberger, and Jimmy Hamilton. Board members absent was Charles Leflett and guest present was Jeff Cater.
March 25, 2015 - Desere' Cooper and Jaz Atkins, traveled to Corpus Christi for the state meet over spring break along with their coach, Carrie Obregon. Desere' had qualified to participate and once they arrived at the meet they learned that Jaz had the opportunity to participate also. Headed into the deadlift, Desere' was in third place and going for a weight that would possibly move her into 2nd she was unable to successfully make her lift. Jaz, however was able to make her lifts and placed 4th in her class.
