Timpson HS Excels at Huntington Track Meet

April 7, 2015 - The Timpson High School boys track team placed first and the girls track team placed second in the Huntington track meet. Coach James Conway said he is very proud of the efforts of the athletes on both teams. The district high school track meet will be April 15 and 16 in Beckville.

Timpson Bear Update: One Act Play Advances

March 30, 2015 - The Timpson High School one act play “Pink Lemonade for Tomorrow” advanced to bi-district competition to be held Friday April 10th at Panola Junior College. In the district competition held Friday, March 27th, Timpson HS students received the following awards:

March 26, 2015 - Timpson High School announces the Varsity Cheerleaders for 2015-16. They are Macey Hanson, Cedesha Curtis, Rebecca Mathis, Tori Cross, Madelyn Ramsey, Molly Sanford, Hope Milford, Sara Duke, Cadey Belrose, Kara Thorne, Jasmine Rogers, and Kambry Wallace.

March 26, 2015 - Timpson ISD announces the 2015-2016 Timpson High School twirlers. They are Aislynn Kimzey, Maria Palacios, Cassidy Clifton, Ja'Karia Deckard, Kristyn Rader, MaKayla Baker, Rebekah Parks, and Jacey Mullins. Head twirler is Bethany Lindgren. The THS twirler sponsor is Mrs. Kristan Solomon.

Timpson ISD Site Evacuation Due to Gas Leak

February 20, 2015 - (Photos by Shelby County Today) Timpson ISD evacuated students and staff from the district site when a company putting in telephone lines punctured a gas line causing a major leak.

Timpson Elementary School Agents for Change

February 19, 2015 - Timpson Elementary Agents for Change students are currently participating in a Reading Buddy Program. Each Agent on this committee has been assigned a younger student and is serving as their Reading Buddy for six weeks. As a Reading Buddy the Agent reads to the younger student, listens to them read, and rewards them with incentives for reading. We are in the third week of the program and everyone involved is excited and enjoying the program.

Timpson ES Pre-K News: Officers Visit About How to Be Safe

February 11, 2015 - On Tuesday, Officer Kim Graham with Timpson ISD and police chief Kent Graham with the Timpson Police Department came and talked to Pre-K about how to be safe. They talked to the students about riding in a car seat in the backseat of the car. It is not safe for children to ride in the front seat of a car without being in a car seat. Also, they talked to the student about calling 9-1-1 if someone is hurt and needs help.

Timpson HS Sponsors Teens In The Driver's Seat

February 4, 2015 - The Teens in the Driver Seat program has launched a pilot program entitled "Ride With Me". It is a parent education program that ties in with their peer to peer education program. Mrs. Danielle Smith's Family and Community Services class at Timpson High School held a pledge campaign Tuesday, February 3rd. Parents were asked to sign the pledge, take a driving safety quiz and watch an educational video.

January 30, 2015 - The Timpson High School Youth Advisory Council (YAC) and the TISD Bears In The Sky recently presented a program to the Shelby County Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership 2015.
