May 24, 2023 - The National Moment of Remembrance is an annual event that asks Americans, wherever they are at 3:00 p.m. local time on Memorial Day, to pause for a duration of one minute to remember those who have died in military service to the United States. The time 3 p.m. was chosen because it is the time when most Americans are enjoying time off of work for the national holiday. The Moment was first proclaimed in May 2000 for Memorial Day that year, and was put in law by the United States Congress in December 2000.

March 22, 2023 - First Baptist Church Timpson will reopen newly renovated Sanctuary and Class Rooms on Sunday, April 2, 2023, along with a New Foyer. The church is having a celebration Service to praise God for what he has done.

June 20, 2022 - Congratulations to the 2022 Miss Frontier Days Queen Haylee Eaves and 2022 Miss Frontier Days Duchess Catherine Searcy.

December 13, 2016 - C. Wayne Mitchell, president and CEO of the Nacogdoches County Chamber of Commerce will keynote the 2017 Timpson Area Chamber of Commerce membership banquet, scheduled for Thursday, January 19, 2017.
