February 3, 2022 - Center ISD will have a 2 hour delayed start to school tomorrow, Friday, February 4, 2022. We will continue to monitor roads and the weather throughout the night. January 13, 2022 - The 2021 Center Roughrider Football and Cheer Banquet is January 24, 2022 at 6pm at the John D. Windham Civic Center.

Attention Center ISD Staff and Families:

January 17, 2022 - Due to a large number of scheduled Covid tests, Center ISD will not be offering walk-in Covid testing on Thursday, January 20. If any staff or student is experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19, please stay off campus on Thursday and walk in testing will resume on Friday morning, January 21 at 8am.

January 5, 2022 - The Center Band Boosters invite anyone with an interest in the band program to attend our meetings. All meetings begin at 5:30 in the High School Band Hall.

The schedule is as follows:

• Monday, January 10
• February 7
• March 14 - We will make nominations for band boosters officers.
• Thursday, April 14 - We will vote for officers
• May 9

January 4, 2022 - Center High School UIL Academics was awarded a $520 grant for hosting their third Big Question Debate Tournament on December 4. Thirty-seven students participated in the debate, and teachers donated their time to judge.

"It is an event for all the students," Debate coach and UIL Coordinator Douglas Moore said, "We don't let debate kids participate unless they find someone outside of the UIL program to be their partner."

CHS UIL and Debate teams will have a busy spring semester.
