February 21, 2021 - Center ISD is cancelling classes for Monday and Tuesday of this week. Due to the extensive power and water outages, along with the lack of internet in the majority of our campuses. Center ISD also has minor damage from from the winter storm. At this time Center ISD will resume in person classes on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Please continue to check back for further updates.
February 20, 2021 - Center ISD officials will meet tomorrow morning to make a decision regarding school for the week of February 22-26. They will consider power outages and water damage before issuing a decision at noon on Sunday, February 21. Please look to local media and the Center ISD Facebook page for a decision.
February 10, 2021 - The Lady Riders Basketball Playoff game vs La Vega High School has been rescheduled again. The game will be played at Athens High School on Saturday, February 13 at 2pm.
February 9, 2021 - Tonight the 6-2 Center Roughriders face the Rusk Eagles in Rusk. The Lady Riders are off tonight as they prepare for the playoffs.
The Ray Jones Chevrolet Pre-Game Show begins at 6:15 (or immediately following the JV Boys game.) The Broadcast Team visits with Coach Harrison, then we replay last Tuesday's Senior Night ceremony.
Then at halftime the Abundant Love Ministries Halftime Show features Kennedy Bush's very unique interview with fellow cheerleader Tatum Mettauer.
February 5, 2021 - The Varsity Tyler tennis tournament scheduled for Friday, February 12 has officially changed to Monday, February 8 due to the weather forecast.
January 29, 2021 - CISD has been allotted COVID test kits from the Texas Dept. of Emergency Management. CISD has been authorized to use these test kits by TEA. Please see the following links for additional information:
January 29, 2021 - Tonight Roughrider Basketball plays a double-header against the Palestine Wildcats in Palestine. Both games are earlier than usual with the ladies tipping off at 5:00.
The 5-2 Lady Riders begin the evening facing the district-leading Lady Wildcats at 6-1. In their first match-up, Center led for three-and-a-half quarters but Palestine earned a come-from-behind victory. A Center win would create a three-way tie at the top of the standings with Jasper who Center beat in a thriller Tuesday night.
