August 25, 2020 - Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors and community members attended a new member ribbon cutting at The Red Brick Social House on Tuesday, August 25th with its owner Laura Harris.
August 24, 2020 - As of Monday, August 24th, in-person instruction has started all across Shelby County with Center, Excelsior, Joaquin, and Timpson kicking off their 2020-2021 school year. Center Christian Academy started August 10th and Shelbyville and Tenaha both started last week on August 17th.
Please use caution as buses are back on the roadway transporting our students.
August 20, 2020 - According to an article in the Lufkin Daily News, help is available for those struggling to afford their needed medications. The non-profit Community RX Help can assist people with their needed medications from the pharmaceutical companies for free.
Community RX Help is funded by the Nacogdoches Area United Way, the T.L.L. Temple Foundation and local donations. It serves the counties of Nacogdoches, Angelina, San Augustine, and Shelby.
August 17, 2020 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society held their regular monthly meeting this past Saturday. The August Challenge was "Spring Fling" with photographs submitted by members for voting by club members for their favorites.
August 14, 2020 - Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center says 'thank you' to Shelbyville ISD, Tenaha ISD, San Augustine ISD, and Timpson ISD for participating in the effort to end child abuse and advocate for the children in your classroom.
