April 21, 2020 - Although Coronavirus is interrupting the lives of so many, Center Middle School teachers didn't let that stop them from celebrating the birthday of one of their work family members.
CMS teachers created a drive by birthday celebration on Monday, April 20th for 8th grade teacher Gladys Andrews. Andrews described her surprise, "My CMS friends circled my driveway, horns blowing, waving posters and leaving a big box of goodies. It was a birthday I will never forget. CMS teachers are the best."
March 19, 2020 - In an effort to do our part in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Shelby County Appraisal District will close their doors to the public starting Monday, March 23, 2020 until further notice.
April 14, 2020 - The staff and board members of the Shelby County Children’s Advocacy Center are still working in our efforts to serve the children of our community. We are doing our best to limit contact when possible while continuing to fulfill our mission.

To comply with Social distancing The PWPS (Piney Woods Photographic Society) will not be holding their regular monthly meeting this month. But there will be an online challenge “Double Up” of photographs submitted by members featuring reflections of their choice.
April 14, 2020 – Michele Clark, representative with the Texas Extension Education Association (TEEA) presented the Cooking with Herbs program at the Women on the Go meeting hosted by AgriLife Extension on Wednesday, March 5, 2020. Clark’s program involved properly growing a variety of herbs and using herbs for cooking and making homemade herb mixes.
