October 17, 2017 - FREE Family Fun at the Fall Fest and Resource Fair on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5 to 7 PM at Tri-C Head Start located at 214 Nacogdoches Street (Old Elementary School). Head Start families and the entire community are invited. There will be Free Food, Games and Prizes.

October 18, 2017 - The Fannie Brown Booth Library's fall book sale begins Tuesday, October 24th and continues through Saturday, October 28th. We have a wide variety of books with most of them .50 to $1.
October 17, 2017 - The Shelby County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday, October 17, 2017at 2:00 P.M. in the Shelby County Museum on Pecan Street. Our guest speaker this month will be Mr. Larry Hume. He will be speaking to us about World War I. It is the 100th anniversary and he will tell us what is being done in Shelby County in remembrance of this time of our history. Everyone is invited to attend.

October 4, 2017 - Friends of the Library are asking for donations of gently used paperback and hardback books in good condition.
No encyclopedias, please. Books may be brought to the Fannie Brown Booth Memorial Library during regular library hours. The books will be sold in the fall book sale to be held Tuesday, October 24 throughSaturday, October 28.
