Town Historian Shares Glimpse of the Past, Memorial Hospital

November 10, 2016 - Buster Bounds, the local town historian, has recently been working on a project documenting the demolition of the former Shelby Regional Medical Center on Hurst Street which was also formerly Memorial Hospital. The land is currently being prepared for the construction of a new church building.

The first video is an interview for the Coffee Shop Cafe which he recorded in 1993 with the hospital's new administrator, Tony Zurbrugg. The renovation of the medical facility had just been completed.

Seeking Information on Two Veterans Buried in St. John's Cemetery

November 4, 2016 - Larry Hume, VFW Post 8904 Quartermaster is seeking information on two veterans buried in the St. John's Cemetery in Tenaha, Texas who are James A. Lloyd, 1949-2004, and Willie James Wilson, 1930-1951. 

Lloyd's headstone has US Air Force Command Navigator Wings etched on it. Wilson died in Korea during the Korean War.
