March 9, 2017 - There will be a meeting at the Log Cabin (Chamber of Commerce Building) in San Augustine, March 9th 2017 at 6:15pm. We are inviting people from San Augustine, Sabine and Shelby County who may have an interest as serving as a volunteer for Red Cross.

This meeting is for current Volunteers and anyone in the community interested in the Red Cross and making a positive difference preparing for and responding to disasters.

March 8, 2017 - The Piney Woods Photographic Society (PWPS) will be holding their regular monthly meeting Saturday, March 18, 2017, at the First United Methodist Church, on Porter St. in Center, Tx.  The meeting will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. There will be a workshop featuring subjects on Lightroom Tips and Tricks. Specializing in how to develop your own pictures. The Club's monthly challenge will present photographs depicting "Texture". All camera enthusiast are welcome to attend.

March 2, 2017 - Michael Cranford, of Center and a Deacon at Blount Chapel Baptist Church, is fighting for his life. In January of 2016 he was diagnosed with lung disease. There is no family history of this illness. Doctors say a double-lung transplant is critical.

March 1, 2017 - Participants of the Walk and Talk Nutrition and Fitness Program gathered at the old Center Elementary School Gym on Nacogdoches Street to kick off the 8-week program with a nutrition tip followed by a Zumba class.
