Tenaha Mayor Signs Board Appreciation Month Proclamation

January 25, 2017 - City of Tenaha Mayor Carl Jernigan signed a proclamation for School Board Recognition Month. The Mayor declared appreciation to the members of the Tenaha School Board and proclaimed the month of January 2017, as School Board Appreciation Month in Tenaha, Texas.

Mayor Jernigan expresses through the proclamation, "I urge all citizens to join me in recognizing the dedication and hard work of local school board members and in working with them to mold an education system that meets the needs of both today's and tomorrow's children.

January 17, 2017 - President Helen Collard called the January 16 Golden Harvest Ministries Club to order at 11:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church in Center, Texas. She began with a scripture reading, followed by W.A. Moore leading the opening prayer, and Harold Hanson leading members and guests in singing favorite hymns.
