March 23, 2017 - Panola College is proud to announce the establishment of the John E. and Reba C. Pace Scholarship. The scholarship was formed by their daughters Virginia Pace Lyle and Rebecca Pace Parce in memory of John E. and Reba C. Pace.
While many of you enjoyed Spring Break last week, the legislature continued full steam ahead, with the House and Senate holding committee hearings and debating bills.
March 22, 2017 - Veterans with a service connected disability are encouraged to file an exemption application form to have their property taxes lowered. Some veterans may even qualify for a 100 percent exemption of their taxes.
March 22, 2017 - Texas farmers and ranchers can be granted property tax relief on their land. They may apply to the Shelby County Appraisal District for agricultural productivity appraisal and for a lower appraisal of their land based on how much they produce, versus what their land would sell for on the open market.

The results are being posted to encourage the student's peers and parents to discuss the dangers of distracted driving.
