Pilgrim's Pride Corporation to Host Third Quarter 2016 Earnings Call on October 27, 2016

October 7, 2016 - Pilgrim's Pride Corporation (NASDAQ:PPC) announced today that it will host its third quarter 2016 earnings conference call and webcast on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 7:00 a.m. MT ( 9:00 a.m. ET ).  Prepared remarks regarding the company's financial and operational results will be followed by a question and answer period with Pilgrim's executive management team.

Ranching 101 Class

October 6, 2016 - The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be hosting Ranching 101 Friday, October 14th from 9am till 4pm. The event is open to TSCRA Members and the local ranching community. Ranching 101 will be held at 803 FM 2788 Center, TX. From TX-7 north of Center, turn south onton TX-500 at the intersection of TX-7 and TX-500. After 0.3 mile, turn left onto FM 2788. The event will be on the right after 0.2 mile. Follow TSCRA signs.

October 6, 2016 - The Xi Alpha Delta Rho chapter of Beta Sigma Phi's 9th Annual Breakfast with Santa tickets are on sale! Breakfast With Santa will be held Saturday, December 3rd at Windham Civic Center. This year we have added the option to purchase a reserved table and raffle tickets for a Gaylord Texan ICE! Weekend.

USDA Announces Support for Rural Cooperative Businesses, Organizations

October 6, 2016 - Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced October 4, 2016 that USDA is awarding 29 grants totaling $5.8 million to help rural cooperatives create jobs and support business expansion. The funds are being provided through the Rural Cooperative Development Grant (RCDG) program, which helps fund non-profit groups, such as rural cooperative development centers and higher education institutions.
 

AG Paxton Settles Suit with App Company Collecting Children’s Information

October 3, 2016 AUSTIN - Attorney General Ken Paxton announced a settlement with California app developer Juxta Labs, Inc. for violating the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act. Juxta Labs signed an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance (AVC), approved by the Travis Country District Court, agreeing not to collect personal information from any child under the age of 13. The AVC prohibits the company from allowing children to use their apps if those apps are not compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.
