August 12, 2024 - Across Shelby County, the 2024-2025 school year is underway with five of the local schools having started. Tenaha and Timpson started their school year last week. For Center Christian Academy, Joaquin, and Shelbyville the new school year started today, August 12. Tomorrow, Center and Excelsior will start and finalize the back-to-school season.

August 9, 2024 - CHS Homecoming Weekend Is September 27-28!  Center High School Class of 1979 will host a class reunion on Saturday, September 28 at 7pm at Las Palmas Restaurant (formerly Sombreros) at 1135 Hurst St. Mark your calendars and plan to celebrate our 45th class reunion! Friday night football at Roughrider Stadium and the homecoming parade is Saturday afternoon at 4pm.

July 25, 2024 - Aurora Concepts will be at Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 5 at Center Middle School to offer vaccines. TDap and Meningitis Vaccines are required to enter 7th grade. HPV optional.
