Center ISD Band Booster Meeting Tonight

September 9, 2024 - Center ISD announces there will be a band booster meeting tonight, September 9, 2024 at 5:30pm in the high school cafeteria.

Your presence is crucial as they discuss upcoming events and other important matters.

September 3, 2024 - Center ISD states Spring Hill ISD will sell tickets online for all games. No cash will be accepted at the gate.

Center Band Boosters Seeking Volunteers to Support the Band

August 28, 2024 - Center High School band is gearing up for another exciting season, and is in need of your help to make it a success!

Center Tennis Sweeps Pineywoods Academy in Team Tennis Play

August 23, 2024 - The Riders hosted Pineywoods Academy and swept the competition on Thursday, August 22.

The match began with doubles and the Riders line 1 boys doubles of Logan Galindo / Chris Acosta had the closest match of the day winning 6-2, 7-6. The rest of the doubles were all dominated by Center who led 7-0 after doubles.

The singles matches would also go Center's way with only one match going into a close tiebreaker.

The day ended in a clean sweep at home winning 19-0.

This improves our record to 5-3 and 2-0 in District play.

Center HS Alumni Association 2024 Hall of Honor Award; Deadline Aug. 19

August 12, 2024 - CHS Alumni Association is accepting nominations for 2024 Hall of Honor award. The nomination deadline is Monday, August 19, 2024. Please send nominations to Center High School Hall of Honor, P.O. Box 1622, Center, Texas 75935 or email centerhighschoolalumni@gmail.com.

Back to School Underway, 2024-2025 School Calendars, Sports This Week

August 12, 2024 - Across Shelby County, the 2024-2025 school year is underway with five of the local schools having started. Tenaha and Timpson started their school year last week. For Center Christian Academy, Joaquin, and Shelbyville the new school year started today, August 12. Tomorrow, Center and Excelsior will start and finalize the back-to-school season.

August 12, 2024 - Please see below the attached 2024-2025 application packet in English and Spanish for free and reduced meals for Center ISD Child Nutrition Program.

Packets may also be picked up at any Center ISD school office or at Center ISD administration building at 107 PR 605, Center, Texas.

CHS Class of 1979 45th Class Reunion

August 9, 2024 - CHS Homecoming Weekend Is September 27-28! Center High School Class of 1979 will host a class reunion on Saturday, September 28 at 7pm at Las Palmas Restaurant (formerly Sombreros) at 1135 Hurst St. Mark your calendars and plan to celebrate our 45th class reunion! Friday night football at Roughrider Stadium and the homecoming parade is Saturday afternoon at 4pm.

Center ISD Announces Required Change in Medication Administration

August 5, 2024 - Center ISD advises parents/guardians of a change in medication administration requirements for the 2024-2025 school year.

According to the Texas Board of Nursing, licensed nurses are only able to provide medication to students under the direction of a physician or a licensed health care provider with prescribing ability.
