Starting with Sunday, there was a call regarding a male with swollen legs causing pain on County Road 3590. The JVFD EMR team responded to check out the patient and assist Allegiance EMS.
The water on Denning Rural WSC no longer requires boiling.
December 9, 2022 - On December 6, 2022, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Denning Rural Water Supply, #2030004, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
December 7, 2022 - The San Augustine County Sheriff's Department has issued a press release regarding a crossbow shooting incident in San Augustine County which resulted in the death of Bryan Blue.
December 6, 2022 - A Timpson man was the victim of a gunshot wound and was found in a vehicle in Nacogdoches and later died at a hospital.
Authorities have a suspect in custody and have charged David Lawrence Davis, II, 33, of Garrison with the murder of David Nathan Lewis, Jr., 43, of Timpson in Rusk County.

Starting off with Monday morning, there was a call regarding a man suffering from a weak pacemaker on County Road 3620. A few minutes after receiving the page the JVFD was told to cancel their response.
November 2, 2022 - The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the City of Joaquin public water system, 2100010, to issue a Boil Water Notice on December 1, 2022, to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
December 2, 2022 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the community’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved in two separate criminal mischief incidents that occurred on Friday, November 25, 2022, in the area of County Road 4688 and FM 947. Both incidents involved a rock being thrown at the residences, causing damage to windows.
