DPS Investigating Plane Crash on SH 7 East (Update 3:01pm)

November 18, 2018 - A plane crash just east of Flat Fork Creek on State Highway 7 East is currently being investigated by Texas Department of Public Safety State Troopers. It appears at this time all occupants of the plane were not injured.

November 14, 2018 - On November 9, 2018, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) required our public water system (Flat Fork WSC), PWS ID (2100007) to issue a Boil Water Notice (BWN) to inform our customers that due to the presence of contaminants or an interruption in service, water from our system must be boiled prior to consumption.

November 6, 2018 - Shelby County had a good voter turnout for the November 6th midterm elections with 69% of the registered voters expressing their opinions at the polls. A record 53% of the total ballots cast were done during Early Voting and 47% were cast on election day.

City of Center final voting results are in and incumbent Jerry Lathan wins Council Member, District 2 with 126 votes to Rogers Yarborough's 68 votes.
