Scammers Claim Failure to Appear for Jury Elicits Heavy Fine (Update 5:38pm)

January 12, 2018 - The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office warns area residents of a scam circulating.

The caller is impersonating a law enforcement officer with the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. The caller is stating they have warrants for not appearing for a grand jury summons. The caller will request that you pay court costs and/or a retainer fee.

Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems Rescinded

January 11, 2018 - The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of 1/11/2018.
