January 11, 2018 - The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of 1/11/2018. January 9, 2018 - A Shelby County Grand Jury handed down 25 indictments involving 18 individuals on Thursday, January 4, 2018. The grand jury was impaneled for the January 2018 term of the 273rd Judicial District Court.

Nickloas Denetri Rushing was indicted for evading arrest, third degree felony. The indictment alleges, on April 28, 2017, Rushing used a vehicle to flee from Christopher Knowlton, a person the defendant knew was a peace officer who was attempting to lawfully arrest or detain Rushing.
