October 6, 2017 - Joaquin ISD received information regarding an anonymous text message from an unknown number containing a potential threat to the school. The authorities were contacted and an investigation is being conducted.  Upon initial investigation, it was determined there was no immediate danger to any of your children or Joaquin ISD staff. The anonymous text was not intended for Joaquin ISD. Authorities have contacted the out of state school where it was intended. 

October 4, 2017 - The following cases were disposed of in the Shelby County Court on September 19th and October 3rd.   

October 3, 2017 - Commissioner Pct 1 Roscoe McSwain reports Country Road 1440 will be closed temporarily starting Friday, October 6, 2017 at Irish Creek for a bridge replacement which will take approximately 45 days.

September 27, 2017 - State Highway 7 East was the scene of a crash involving a 4-wheeler and a passenger car following which the driver of the 4-wheeler was arrested.
