February 11, 2025 - The Shelby County Commissioners decided to move forward with the purchase of a truck for Precinct 3 and approved one of the bids submitted during their January 27, 2025 meeting.

The commissioners considered the purchase of a new truck for Precinct 3, and after Commissioner Stevie Smith reviewed the two bids received, he concluded that Performance Truck out of Lufkin more readily adhered to the specifications the county requested bid met and could have the truck ready four months sooner than the other bidder.

February 10, 2025 – A large-scale investigation has concluded with multiple individuals being sentenced to federal prison for drug trafficking and firearms violations in the Eastern District of Texas, announced Acting U.S. Attorney Abe McGlothin, Jr.

February 4, 2025 - A Shelby County Grand Jury handed down 22 indictments on Monday, February 3, 2025. The grand jury was impaneled for the January 2025 term of the 123rd/273rd Judicial District Courts.
