Rams Shock Tigers in 23-21 Upset

A 23-yard Jesus Bravo field goal with just 44 seconds remaining in Friday’s District 11 Class 2A football game gave the Joaquin Rams their first lead against the hometown Tenaha Tigers. A Ram’s defensive interception just 25 seconds later iced the game, a 23-21 win for Joaquin, and insured them a playoff berth with just one game remaining in conference action.

Tenaha Junior High/JV Games Cancelled

October 25, 2018 - Due to extremely wet and muddy field condition the Tenaha Tiger Junior High/JV games have been cancelled for Thursday, October 25th. All efforts were made to find an alternative location but with no success. The Junior High will take on Joaquin November 1st in Joaquin. Kickoff at 5pm. The JV will take on the Wolves in San Augustine on November 1st. Time to be determined. 

Friday night's varsity game between the Tenaha Tigers and the Garrison Bulldogs will be played as scheduled in Garrison. Kickoff at 7:30pm.

Center Tennis Team Competing in Regional Semifinals, Watch on Facebook

October 25, 2018 - The CHS Tennis Team is in the playoffs! To this point, they won their district contests, the bi-district, and the area round in shut-outs, winning all the games. Monday at the Regional Quarterfinals, the Team beat Palestine 10 games to 3.

This morning (October 25th) they compete in the Regional Semifinals -- or the Sweet 16 -- in Bryan against Lamar Fulshire, a new school built only last year. Center is ranked #1 in the Region, but Lamar should prove a good test.

Dave Campbell's Texas Football Salutes Shelbyville Dragons as Week 8 School of the Week

October 24, 2018 - Dave Campbell's Texas Football School of the Week presented by U.S. Army selected Shelbyville as the 2A school of the week for Week 8.

In the announcement, Shelbyville is described as follows: In a wild back-and-forth affair, the Dragons got six total touchdowns from QB Jaylon Brinson and held of a West Sabine in overtime, 44-42.

Center Tennis Team Competes in Region 3 Tennis Quarterfinals

October 23, 2018 - The Center Tennis Team traveled to Henderson yesterday, October 22nd to meet Palestine for the Region 3 Team Tennis Quarterfinals. 

The match up would begin with 3 boys doubles and 3 girls doubles match ups in which the Riders would come out ahead 5-1. The mixed doubles match would go on next as well as the Line 1, 2 and 3 singles match ups.

The Riders would lose a hard fought mixed doubles and line 1 girls singles match but would pull the rest of the match ups to win 10 matches to Palestine 3. The remaining match ups did not finish.
