Shelbyville Dragon Baseball Playoff Update

Updated April 29, 2019 - The Play Off Baseball game against Broaddus has been move to Wednesday, May 1, at 6:00 P.M. here in Shelbyville.

The change was made due to the chance for inclement weather.

April 25, 2019 - The Shelbyville Dragons will play Broaddus in the 1st round of the playoffs on Thursday, May 2 and Friday, May 3.

Game 1: Thursday at 6:00 pm in Shelbyville
Game 2: Friday at 5:00 pm in Broaddus
Game 3: 30 minutes after if necessary

There will be no gate.

Center High School Athletics’ Update for Golf

April 26, 2019 - Alec Dykes attended the regional golf tournament yesterday, April 26th. He tied for 22nd out of 83 total golfers. He did not qualify for the state tournament but competed well on a tough course. Alec shot an 88 in the first round while playing through tough rainy conditions, Alec’s improved by 3 strokes on his second round shooting an 85. Alec played hard and represented his school and district very well. 

Center HS Athletic Updates for Baseball, Track, Tennis

April 25, 2019 - Center High School athletic Updates for Baseball, Track, and Tennis are below.

Baseball

Center versus Rusk Bi-District Playoffs are Thursday, May 2nd at Rusk HS 7pm and Friday, May 3rd at center HS 7pm. Saturday game, if needed, will be at Rusk HS at 2pm. Ticket prices are $5 Adults, $3 students and $2 seniors. All passes will be taken.

Girls Track

The following girls qualified for the Region III 4A meet at Sam Houston State University on Friday and Saturday:

Joaquin to Compete at AA District 21-22 Area Track Meet

April 15, 2019 - Joaquin Track Team will compete at the Area Track Meet in San Augustine on Wednesday, April 17th. The field events will begin at 10am with the running events starting at 1:20.
