Center MS to Offer Pre-Athletics for 6th Grade: Sign ups July 27th-30th

July 21, 2015 - Center Middle School will be offering a 6th Grade Pre-Athletics Class for the the 2015-16 school year. There will be a section for 6th grade boys and 6th grade girls.

The participants in these classes will learn the same skills and do the same conditioning as the students in the regular athletic periods, but will not compete against other schools.

Local High School Teams Ranked in the Top 10 Pre-Season Poll

July 21, 2015 - The 2015 Texas High School Coaches Association has released their pre-season poll highlight the best high school football teams in state.

There were several local high school teams from Class 2A Region III that made the state pre-season poll.

They are as follows:

Class 2A Division I
Shelbyville - 4th
San Augustine - 5th
Pineland West Sabine - 10th

Class 2A Division II
Tenaha - 4th
Timpson - 9th

July 21, 2015 - The 2015 Texas State 4H Games were held July 15-18 at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio. There were over 1,250 shotgun and archery shooters that competed this year.

Shelby County 4H Shooters Travel to Comal County Shotgun Invitational

July 21, 2015 - Left to right: Logan Holloway, Lance Holloway, Seth Shamblin, Colton Gutermuth The 15th annual Comal County Shotgun invitational was held at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio on July 11-12th. This competition is commonly called the state warmup tournament with over 350 participants.

Tenaha ISD Announces Time and Date of Sports Physicals

July 16, 2015 - Tenaha ISD annouces the time for all students wishing to participate in any sport to get their physical. The sports physicals will take place on Monday, August 3rd, 2015 from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.
