April 20, 2015 - Farmers State Bank donated two brand new scoreboards to Joaquin Youth sports for two fields. We express our appreciation to the bank for supporting the baseball/softball program and supporting the youth in Joaquin.

April 13, 2015 - On Saturday, April 11th, the Shelby County Junior Bass Anglers competed at the SETX Tournament. There were 351 boats registered to fish. Center High School students, Jared Wiggins and Brett Clark placed 6th. They also received a scholarship. This win not only awarded them monetarily, it also puts the duo in 1st Place in the SETX overall standings!

April 13, 2015 - Center Roughrider Soccer will face Liberty Hill on Wednesday, April 15that 6:30PM for the State Semi-Final. The game will be in Georgetown. If they win, they will play for the State Championship on Friday, April 17th at 4:00PM.

If you haven’t been out crappie fishing you need to be. Hearing reports from fisherman catching crappie with minnows and little jigs (personally I’m using a jig and crappie nibbler). Fish your favorite structure or in the shallows. Motion seems to be helping get the strikes at the moment.
