Center HS Golf Teams Advance to Regional

April 7, 2015 - The Center Roughrider and Lady Rider golf teams will advance to the regional tournament after placing second in their respective divisions in the District 19-4A tournament held on Thursday, 4/2/15 and Monday, 4/6/15 at Wood Hollow Golf Club in Longview.

Joaquin Hs Boys Powerlifter Place 3rd in State

April 2, 2015 - Joaquin Ram Powerlifter, Case Chambliss, a senior, competed in the Boys State Powerlifting meet - Division 3 - in Abilene, Texas on March 28th, 2015. Case posted his personal best and finished 3rd place in the state. Case's lifts totaled 1205 lbs., with his personal best squat perfomance of 475 lbs., bench 265 lbs., and deadlift 465 lbs. Congratulations to Case for an outstanding powerlifting season!

Shelbyville Special Olympians Compete at Gilmer

April 6, 2015 - Shelbyville Students participating in the Gilmer Special Olympic meet were ( in the back row), Eithan Ponder, Chase Hutto, Jason Casey, and Caleb Alexander. Front row Adrianna Taylor, Ryleigh Lawson and Lindsey Vaughn. Each student medaled in two events.

Shelbyville HS Boys Win Over Joaquin

April 2, 2015 - Shelbyville varsity baseball defeated Joaquin on Tuesday March 31st.

A big 1st inning by the dragons, with hits by freshman Christian Schilder and junior, Tyler Tremble produced 4runs. Shelbyville never trailed in the game and went on to win by a score of 6-4.

Dragon freshman, Ryan Bailey pitched 5 innings allowing only 1 earned run, and senior, CJ Watson closed the game out pitching two strong innings. Both teams left the bases loaded several times in a hard fought 23-2a district matchup.

Center HS Boys Soccer Advance to Area

March 30, 2015 - On Friday, March 27th, the Center Roughrider Varsity Boys Soccer team traveled to Crockett High School to take on the Mexia Blackcats. In the first half of play, the Riders went ahead 2-0 with goals by Senior Captain, Gilberto Vega and Freshmen Marcos Lopez. The boys put up a great defense and were able to hold the Blackcats scoreless as they entered the second half of play.

March 30, 2015 - Center High School Sophomore, Octavious Evans has been selected to the All-Region team for Region 3.

Fishing Report for Lake Murval

March 27, 2015 - Dogwoods are blooming and fish are getting ready to spawn. The water temperature on Lake Murvaul is 68-72 degrees. The crappie and catfish are in 3 feet of water and in the grass. They are biting white jig, chartreuse jig and minnows on a slip bobber.
