Tenaha ISD Honors School Board This January for Advocating for Local School Children

School Board Recognition Month Gives Community a Chance to Say Thank You.

January 6, 2020 - January is School Board Recognition Month, and Tenaha ISD will join the Texas Association of School Boards and other districts across the state to honor the countless contributions of these locally elected advocates for Texas schoolchildren and public schools.

2019 Holiday Hoops Basketball Tournament Results, MVP Players

January 2, 2020 - The 11th Annual Holiday Hoops Basketball Tournament began December 26, the day after Christmas, and included over 70 games played in three days in five great venues.

The 2019 Holiday Hoops tournament results are:

Girls
Champion - Martin’s Mill Lady Mustangs
Runner Up - Edgewood Lady Bulldogs
3rd Place - Timpson Lady Bears
4th Place - Tenaha Lady Tigers
5th place - Lipan Lady Indians
Consolation - Shelbyville Lady Dragons

Tenaha Students Earn Region Honors

December 19, 2019 - Tenaha had 2 high school band students and 19 middle school band students earn a chair in the Region 21 All-Region Bands!

Tenaha placed more middle school students in the Region 21 All-Region East Zone Band than any other school district in the surrounding area. Additionally, 50% of the Tenaha students that auditioned earned a chair in one of the bands.
